ABOUT THIS WORK

Meditations (No. 1) is the first work in a set for flexible instrumentation. The work accomidates from 3-10(+) players, and a performance yields an indeterminite length. Because of the close intervals, and interlocking rhythms of 2:3, this piece can be especially useful for strengthening the intonation of a group, and uniformity of a basic polymeter. The download package includes multiple transpositions, and the ensemble reads from score (one page). Other transpositions are available upon request.

INSTRUMENTATION: 3-10(+) players

if three players, the three staves played should be the first three that enter. The ensemble may pick other staves ad. lib until the parts are fulfilled. Octave transpositions are permitted as necessary.
DURATION: 5-60+ minutes
