Scores for the stage

Literary sources and the gothic register run through the staged work: a princess in a Maeterlinck tower, a nightlife columnist at a speakeasy during Prohibition, a mad scene in close focus. Each piece is written in close collaboration with librettists, directors, and singers, and tends to traverse the terrain between tragedy and ecstasy, fragility and strength.
